Having been launched into the limelight following the global success of his short film ‘Look Up’, attracting over 600 million views worldwide, Gary's work has gone on to inspire masses across the globe and has seen him appear on TV shows such as The Today Show, Good Morning America, BBC Breakfast, and many others - and was even parodied for the season 18 finale of South Park.
‘Look Up’ is the most viewed spoken word video on the Internet, and went on to win Best Viral Film at Cannes Media & TV Awards, and two Webby Awards for Best Viral Film and Best Individual Performance. Gary was also awarded ‘Global Thought Shaper of the Year’ by the United Nations WTO for his work encouraging people to better appreciate the world around them.
Gary started performing stand up comedy at the age of 12, and can still regularly be found performing in comedy clubs and theatres internationally. Upon graduating University in 2009 he was hired to work on numerous comedy films & TV shows for Ricky Gervais, Richard Curtis, Russell Brand, and others. It was after these experiences that Gary decided to make a short film of his own - 'Look Up'.
Gary now has over 64 million views and 117,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel, with an additional 32,000 followers and 22 million views on his social media platforms.
Gary was recently invited to give a TEDx Talk where he spoke about his experience growing up in a retirement home and what it taught him about appreciating life and accepting death from an older and often wiser generation.
Gary has performed live to over 100,000 people on 5 continents, and can regularly be found giving keynote talks, workshops & live performances all around the world.
